Reichardt Hebrew Version and NWT
Quoting from the book Questions for Jehovah's Witnesses, "A footnote in the New World Translation on 1 Cor. 11:23 informs us that John Christian Reichardt's 1846 version of THE NEW TESTAMENT in Hebrew (J14) uses the tetragrammaton YHWH in place of LORD. What Franzdoes not tell you is that Reichardt also uses the tetragrammaton in placeof LORD at 1 Cor. 12:3. Would it not be equally true and applicable here? Therefore, 1 Cor. 12:3 should read: "AND NOBODY CAN SAY : "JESUS IS YAHWEH!" EXCEPT BY HOLY SPIRIT."
Has the Church left the Body?
What a stark difference there is between true Believers (those who truly know and truly follow the Master) and those who follow after what their denomination or religious institute tells them. In their own words, they say, "The Church says....", while forgetting what the Lord has given them in His Book. Unfortunately and most sadly is the fact that the so-called "Church" has taken away this Book from the hands of the people and replaced it with Interpretation and Philosophy.
They have harps and lyres at their banquets, tambourines and flutes and wine, but they have no regard for the deeds of Yahweh, no respect for the work of his hands. Therefore my people will go into exile for lack of understanding; their men of rank will die of hunger and their masses will be parched with thirst.
Therefore the grave enlarges its appetite and opens its mouth without limit; into it will descend their nobles and masses with all their brawlers and revellers. So man will be brought low and mankind humbled, the eyes of the arrogant humbled. But Yahweh Shaddai will be exalted by his justice, and the holy God will show himself holy by his righteousness.
Then sheep will graze as in their own pasture; lambs will feed among the ruins of the rich. (Isaiah 5:12-17).
Is it evident, my friends, that the so-called "Church" has left the Body? What remains is the sheep, grazing in the fields of truth, feeding on the pure manna, the Word of God unaltered by man. The sheep know that God's Word interprets itself and they feed daily on the True Bread. (John 6:32)

Aramaic English Standard Version
The Peshitta Foundation released samples of its Aramaic English Standard Version recently...consisting of portions of the Psalms, Matthew, and Mark.
The Foundation said that the English translation is "a version that is honest, truthful, and reliable when compared to the original, ancient Biblical languages. This Version presents the original text in an idiomatic, or natural form of the English language, bringing out the original meaning of the Scriptures, allowing God’s Word to interpret itself, instead of relying on hypothesis and misunderstanding of cultural differences between the East and the West. The main texts used for the New Covenant Scriptures were the Aramaic and Syriac Peshitta."
The translation of the Old and New Testament Peshitta began in 1987, but plans to publish the entire Bible are still on hold since the translation is still undergoing "final touches".
The translation is being made available by the Peshitta Foundation, which is the copyright holder of this new version. You can learn more about this new translation by visiting the their official Web site at http://www.standardversion.org/
